Back in the day when we first started making Hee-Haw in 2014 we leased a small kitchen in the Brentwood bay area outside of Victoria BC. We loved our time in that kitchen crafting our products for sale in local stores and on the mainland of BC but now that we've grown out of that kitchen and sales have increased to all parts of BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba...we use the services of a co-packer or contract manufacturer. Located also on Vancouver Island our co-packer is the one who oversees the reception of ingredients including fresh root from Illinois and they wash and hand peel it still to this day. Going up-stream to a larger production facility hasn't meant losing the hand made glory that #heehawhorseradish stands for. Quite the opposite, it's been increased! As ironic as that sounds, our co-packer does a great job hand measuring, grinding, mixing and combining smaller batches into larger ones for bottling in a way that we could never have imagined. With sales increasing all the time and production schedules running pretty frequently now we want to thank our co-packer for helping us grow while keeping us small. It's a labour of love to produce small batches of Hee-Haw for such a wide distribution foot print...and we hope to grow even more this year into stores in Ontario and parts East.
