Hee-Haw Horseradish is 1/4 lb of Hand Peeled Root

At Hee-Haw Horseradish we do things a little differently than the average horseradish maker: we hand peel our root! Rather than just grinding up the root with peel and all we take the time at great expense to wash and hand peel every piece of root that is used in our products. We source only the best root all the way from Illinois, where they grow it big, then truck it across America to our co-packer in Nanaimo BC Canada where staff hand peel it and as a result we lose about 20% root weight. Imagine that waste going into these other horseradish products! It's muck and not very desirable I'd say. Better without it! Hand peeling is what makes Hee-Haw Horseradish a smoother, hotter and less bitter horseradish than our competition.
